An actual scientific and technical task has been resolved in this work devoted
to establishment of the main regularities of corrosion-hydrogen degradation of
ferritic-pearlitic steels taking into account chemical composition of model formation
waters and type of operational loading and development of the method for
increasing their corrosion resistance and resistance to corrosion-mechanical fracture
by means of environmentally friendly inhibitor.
The influence of microstructure features of steels of casing pipes with
different strength on their corrosion resistance, brittle fracture resistance,
susceptibility to hydrogen embrittlement has been analysed. It has been established
that the initial stage of corrosion of the ferritic-pearlitic 50Г and 32Г2 steels of
casing pipes in an acid chloride solution with pH = 3.1, modelling formation water,
consists in the predominant dissolution of structural-free ferrite, the fraction of
which in the steel microstructure is the dominant factor of corrosion intensification.
The low-strength 50Г steel of casing pipe with coarse-grained ferritic-pearlitic
microstructure is characterized by 1.5 times lower corrosion resistance in model
