Certification tests of anticorrosive insulating coatings of pipelines.

The scientific credo: certification of materials and coatings, development of new insulation materials; development of methods for predicting longevity and rapid evaluation of the protective properties of coatings, development of regulatory documents in the field.

Main research: development of new insulation anticorrosive coatings; rheological testing, physical, mechanical, protective and insulating characteristics of the following materials:

Bituminous, ribbon and wrapping materials protective coatings based on them. (Bitumen compositions, mastics and coatings based on them. Bituminous materials, roofing materials and waterproofing materials . Polymer based on PVC. Insulating and wrapping materials. Protective coatings based on them); Polymeric materials: paints and coatings, adhesives, compounds, protective materials and coatings, plastic (Materials for paint and coatings based on them. Adhesives and compounds. Sealants. Resins Polymerization and polycondensation resin obtained by polymerization and stepped. Lubricants. Polymer pipes and details of pipelines); Insulation and sound insulating materials, coatings, and construction products (Organic insulating materials. Inorganic insulation materials . Geotextiles, nonwoven cloth and design)

The main activities of the laboratory:

  • certification testing of domestic and imported film, plastic, paint, mastic, anticorrosive coatings and insulating materials used in the economy to protect against corrosion;
  • testing new materials and construction coatings;
  • consultation, examination of technical standards, issuing conclusions on the use of materials;
  • participation in the production of materials engineering supervision, control and testing coatings on objects;
  • development and approval of specifications and standards for materials;
  • development of methods of testing materials, transfer copies of customers developed laboratory methods, specifications, standards and other regulations on the insulating and anticorrosive materials;
  • research of physicomechanical and protective properties of materials involved in the development of new materials and anticorrosive coatings.
