Hydrogen technologies and hydride materials science

 

The scientific creed of the department: development of new effective hydrogen absorption, getter, electrode and magnetic materials based on in-depth research of processes of sorption-desorption of hydrogen (from the gas phase and electrochemical) intermetallic compounds, alloys and composites based on rare-earth metals, titanium, zirconium, magnesium.
The hydrogen technologies laboratory (Head - Dr. I.I. Bulyk): development of the nanocomposite magnets with improved parameters of rare earth and transition metals based alloys.
Possible fields of application: alternative energy - hydrogen  storage materials, electrode materials for Ni-MH batteries and permanent magnets.
